Application for the Hire of Club Premises

All applications for hire are determined by the Management Committee and must be requested by club members only. The standard charge is £30 per hour, with a deposit of £50 being required at the time of the booking being accepted. The applicant will require to be in attendance for the duration of the function and to act as a responsible person in all matters relating to the hire. Please refer to the Conditions of Hire set out below.

The clubhouse is available for hire for birthdays, weddings, receptions etc. Blackhall Bowling Club is a great function venue.

Conditions relating to the hire of Club Premises

1. The applicant is responsible for the conduct of all guests and for the restoration of the premises (e.g. tables and chairs).

2. The applicant is responsible for ensuring that all those attending are signed into the Club, as required by the Licensing Regulations. Where possible, a list of all guests' names and addresses should be provided to the bar staff not later than the start of the event.

3. All alcohol consumed on the Club premises must be purchased from the Club bar. An adequate range of beverages is stocked by the Club. If you have any particular requests (e.g. champagne for a toast) you should contact the Club Secretary.

4. The Club is licensed until 12 midnight. There is a 15 minute 'drinking up' time and the premises must be completely vacated by 12.30am.

5. The applicant must ensure that guests are specifically requested to leave the Club and the adjacent area quietly so as not to disturb residents.

6. No activities are permitted to take place outside the Clubhouse (i.e. on the green or its surrounds).

7. The Club will make a charge for any damages or breakages caused by the applicant's party.
